  • Credit Transaction - how to confirm and document?

    Hello,

    I believe I have successfully credited a transaction through the C&P Portal following the documentation instructions. This is for C&P Order #1406221509190693003. Credit was issued on 9/23/14. But there was no email confirmation sent to me, nor can I find a record of the credit in transaction reports through C&P or Salesforce. Is there any other way of confirming this credit went through aside from checking my bank statement to see if the funds were returned? Would be very helpful to assure my donor the credit has been issued.

    Good day Charlie,

    If you download the report (detailed or consolidated) in the column titled response you will see "Credit". The report is saved in real time.

    I reviewed this transaction and don't see it as credited. Are you sure you received a confirmation of the credit?

    The transaction is from Eric T**** for $100 using AmEx and it is not credited.

      Hi, thanks for your prompt reply.


      I went through the steps of finding the transaction in the Portal and getting to the Transaction Detail page. Then I clicked on "Credit" at the bottom. This is a screen shot from your documentation on this last step. After this there was no confirmation. What should I have expected? Please let me know what to expect after I click the "Credit" button so that I can track this credit. I will retry issuing the credit once I have a better understanding. Thank you,

          Here is the Charles response which unfortunately didn't get posted to forum and came into the desk.

          Yes, thanks for your help. We are now waiting to see how our Salesforce
          transactions will reconcile with our bank statement. I have documented that
          steps we need to take so this issue is resolved.
