Ability to remove mandatory field for 3 digit AVS code?

Is there any way to enter credit cards without requiring the 3 digit code on the back of the credit card?

You may do this in the Virtual Terminal ONLY. The payment forms require this as it is a requirement by the credit card companies for eCommerce transactions.

In the Virtual Terminal the assumption is the card is not present and since you are processing through your account the responsibility to ensure it is a legitimate card is on you. We have made it optional in the Virtual Terminal. The VT in the portal, Connect, as well as Salesforce have CV2 as optional.
