  • Credit Card transactions approved but not posted to CC bank

I may be missing something fundamental as I'm just getting C&P and my merchant account set up. I have C&P integrated w/Salesforce.

I've tried a couple of credit card transactions; 1 through a C&P event registration page and 1 through C&P easy donation page. Both transactions appear to have worked in that receipts were sent, the opportunities were created in salesforce, they appear in the settlement reports in C&P, they appear as authorized transaction in translink.

HOWEVER, neither of them have appeared as transactions with the CC bank. These were two different cards from two different banks yet neither show these transactions.

I called TransFirst and they explained that I need to "settle the batch" but I can't find any reference to how to do that in the forums or C&P documentation. I did find that I have "auto settlement" set to "Yes" in my profile.

    What do you advise?

    Good day!

Please do NOT do anything. Your batches are settled automatically at midnight and they will appear on your credit card the day after.

The transactions are pre-authorized when they are processed and settled at midnight.

Click & Pledge should be your first point of contact- please do not contact Transfirst unless instructed by us since they may not know our process and the automation in place.

Fair enough. I will use you as first point of contact - and it was my understanding the batches would settle automatically - BUT, they're not. The transactions in question are more than 24 hours old. The first was authorized on 5/15 and the second was authorized yesterday. It appears the automatic settling isn't happening.

      Now what?

        Good day!

After I replied to you I had our accounts department contact Transfirst to review your account. It seems like your account was not set up for auto-settlement and as a result was not settled. This is a mistake in setting up the account and sorry for the inconvenience.

Transfirst has fixed the issue and now your account is set up for auto-settlement.

Please let me know if you see the transaction tomorrow and if it deposits by Thursday.

Sorry again- always contact us as we can figure out what is going much faster than you trying to explain it to anyone else.

As of 8:30am mountain time, neither of the transactions have posted at the issuing bank of the credit cards. If I understand the process, the both should have posted last night. What do you suggest?

            Good day!

We double checked with Transfirst and your payments are all settled. Please allow 48 hours for the deposit. Based on the settlement report we see you should see the charge on your statement by tomorrow at the latest.

Your credit limit should have decreased immediately when you did the charge and the full debit should show later today or tomorrow.
