Can't remove custom questions from a checkout page?
Can't remove custom questions from a checkout page?
I am trying to remove the questions in a section called General from our Membership-Organizations checkout page and they just won't go away. Help please! Our C&P account # is 21583.
May I ask which question? are you deleting the question or removing it from a checkout page?
Questions may be defined and assigned to a checkout page and may be removed from the checkout page without being deleted. Since the same question may be assigned to many pages, once you delete the message it will be deleted from all pages.
So do you want it to be removed from the page or deleted?
Let us know the question so we can review your account.
There are 2 questions is our General section - How did you hear about SEFAA and Can we add you to our E-newsletter list. I don't want the questions deleted because they are used on another check out page, I just don't want them to appear on our Membership-Organizations check out page. If I deselect General (under Settings/Assign Custom Questions) the questions still appear on the checkout page interspersed with the questions I do want there. If I select and include the General questions, they show up at the bottom of the rest of the questions.
There are 2 places where questions may be added to a page:
Page setting: when added to a page the question will always be asked regardless of the selected products.
Product setting: each product may have its own set of questions so they will be asked if that product is in the basket. For example if someone pays for a banquet ticket you may want to ask them if the prefer vegetarian or steak. You may not want to ask this question if they are paying for membership.
In this case the questions you are trying to remove are set for several products and as such they are being asked when those items are in the basket.
Please check all your products and remove the questions from the product settings.
On a separate issue, are the Swiper units compatible with the new credit cards with microchips? We read in the paper this weekend that October 1 is the date that businesses are expected to upgrade their payment terminals to accept the new cards and that those that aren't ready to process smart cards by the deadline will start bearing the cost for certain fraudulent transactions previously absorbed by card issuers.
