  • Linking one Salesforce instance to multiple C&P Accounts

    Just wanted to check on the process for linking the same Salesforce instance to multiple C&P Accounts. I'm assuming that in Salesforce I need to add the C&P Account Number and C&P Account GUID for each C&P Account in the C&P Account Settings, and in each C&P Account I have to add the same Salesforce credentials for the single instance.

    Is there a limit to how many accounts can be linked to one SF instance?


    (I have a client with a separate Give Big account for themselves, and also a number of supported organizations with their own Give Big accounts. We'd like to track the donations from all 40 different C&P Accounts in the same Salesforce instance if possible.)

    Hi Caroline,

    There are no limits on the number of accounts that may be connected to a single Salesforce instance. Simply connect each account in the Click & Pledge to the same Salesforce instance and in Salesforce add the Click & Pledge accounts in the Settings > C&P Accounts tab.

    One word of caution - make sure the password for the selected Salesforce user is set not to expire. If the password expire resetting 40 accounts is a bit of a pain.
