  • Setting up memorial donation

Is there a way to set up a donation page to include a donation in someone's honor/memory? Thanks in advance!

    Good day @smoadmin,

Using a classic page you may easily add a custom question to accomplish this. In the Catalog pages you have more options for the fields but our clients use the custom question for the "In memory" question.

If you are designing your own forms as an API form you may post those as custom questions any which way you want.

Hope the above answers your question.

If you are using 'Gift in Honor or Memory of Someone' option on the Advanced page, is there any way to turn OFF the option that sends an email notification to the honoree?

        Thanks,
        Calista

          Good day Calista,

No- that option was set up to send email since if you don't wish for it to send email then simply add the questions as custom questions and it will simply save the information. The fields in the "in memory of" are custom fields in nature but send email - adding them as custom question will give you what you are looking for.

Please let us know if we can be of more help.

If one just uses the default in memory option, how is that information passed through the system to SF? I dont see any CQ or info on the transaction or opportunity that carries the type of honor and the persons name and to whom email was sent. (I dont really need the latter, but....)
