  • Problem with Accepting Amex, Visa, and Mastercard through API

For some reason, our online portal through APIs via Click and Pledge stopped working today (www.nyfoundling.org). It's no longer accepting AMEX, Visa, or Mastercard, and all 3 are greyed out in the "Accepted Cards" section of our click and pledge interface. We need this resolved immediately so that we can process donations.

    Thanks,

    Cliff Archey

    Good day Cliff,

If you are referring to this page: http://www.nyfoundling.org/get-involved/give/donate/

This page could NOT have possibly processed payments at any time. ONLY secure pages may post to Click & Pledge and if the form posting to us is NOT secure we simply won't respond and show a blank page.

I just tested the following: https://www.nyfoundling.org/get-involved/give/donate/ and it worked and an authorization was received. I tested with a live card for $0.50

    Authorization Code: 08350C
    Transaction Number: 464408439

It appears that you have setup SSL for your page but your links throughout your website are going to the http:// rather than https://

Please fix your links and let us know if that fixes your issue.

That's very strange, because our entire site is SSL secured. The links automatically redirect to https://, so I don't know why anyone would be going toward the non-secure page. When we tested it earlier, it was on the secure site. So you're telling me this has nothing to do with the "accepted cards" being greyed out? Why are they that way on the Click and Pledge account page?

That's possible that this was a separate issue, but our whole site is SSL secured, and we haven't linked at all to the non-secured site, so I don't know if that's the problem. Also, we just tried to make a donation, and have yet to receive a confirmation email for it, so please investigate as to whether there is another issue on the horizon. Should the Visa, AMEX, and Mastercard accepted cards be greyed out?

          Good day!

If by "Accounts Page" you mean our portal- the fact that they are grayed out it means you cannot uncheck them. They are the default values that cannot be unchecked. Invoicing, Purchase Order, or Custom Payment type may be checked and unchecked but credit cards cannot be unchecked.

          Those options cannot be unchecked.

          Hope this answers your question.

as you see the link goes to: https://www.nyfoundling.org/get-involved/give/donate/

The above link used to go to: http://www.nyfoundling.org/get-involved/give/donate/ and I think it was just fixed.

My original test the link was not secure.

If you go to your report you can download the report. If you are not getting the email I am sure it is in your spam folder.

Please verify in your report to make sure the transaction is there. Also it is worth noting that we don't send 2 emails to the same email address- so if you have your email in the account notification area and the donor you will get only 1 receipt. We do matching to make sure the same person does not get the same email twice.
