Hi, I did this to test the autoresponder for the e-check. I used the routing number of my bank, but a bogus account number (I think... I did it a few days ago). Anyway, I changed the information enough so it wouldn't go through as a "real" transaction. However, I then saw the amount deposited in my bank account ($34.35 = $35 minus transaction fee), and then 3 days later a negative amount of $35 withdrawn by Transfirst since the checks obviously did not clear because they were bogus. So I lost .65 by testing the e-check account. Not a lot, but I want to warn others who may try to test the e-check feature. I called Transfirst and it took them a while to figure out what happened as well. So if you test e-checks on your donation form, be aware of this.

    Good day!

eCheck testing is a bit on the not-convenient side. Our gateways don't offer eCheck testing as is with credit cards. With credit cards we have test card numbers that can be tested but with eCheck there are no such test numbers.

We have a test account for eCheck but requires valid bank account to be entered but the transactions will not settle and are deleted. It is the same way we test our own system using our own bank account for testing.

If you wish to test it use the following information:

    GUID: 642e74e4-a694-4f1b-9b43-e390b07dc700
    Account ID: 28813
    Account #: 78516

You may also use fake numbers by switching your own account number since there are no validation rules for account numbers. Each bank has its own format so it does not follow any validation rules.

Test it and let us know if it solves your issue.

I'm not with Click & Pledge, but I asked the question by Support, and received the following:

If you are referring to testing eChecks we donít offer a way to do this. We give you a way to test the credit cards so you can verify the page is working correctly and then you can receive a receipt to make sure all the information on there is as needed.

Has this changed since 2012? Is there a way to test eCheck transactions?

    Good day!

eCheck does not support test cards. eCheck only processes "real checks".

Sorry but some gateways don't provide testing of eCheck test numbers.

    Test eCheck Transactions

Hi, we are getting an online donation form setup using Paas. We have a test C&P Account that we are using for this.

We are able to successfully test CC transactions using the 4111... number. But we receive an error (decline or generic xml error) when trying to test an eCheck transaction. We've tried random numbers, and even real checking account numbers, but nothing works.

    - How are we able to be sure eCheck transactions are working before going live? Are there 'test' numbers to use for eCheck transactions?

    Thanks!
Working...
