  • False "Error" on Transactions causing multiple donations

    Hi there,

    It's been brought to our attention that some of our donors are getting a false "error" message after donating, signaling them to donate again, causing multiple processed donations. It brings them to a "error page" instead of our page that confirms the donation has gone through, which it is.

    Our web developer believes this might be coming from C&P. We recently installed a Captcha to prevent fraud per your recommendation and shortly after we began running into this issue. Could you help us look into this? Please let me know how else I can provide context and be of assistance.

    From C&P Support: "I have confirmed that the transactions did not cause the error. I have been advised by our Developers to direct you to the Forum for advanced C&P Developer Support. Our developers directly monitor the forums and can provide better assistance regarding custom forms such as FaaS forms."

      We have done basic testing of your form and noticed there are a lot of validation issues on the donation page, such as the credit card Expiration date is defaulted to a past date and posting the value as 2312.

      We have also seen that you have applied the validations but there are still some loops. If the donor posting wrong information, it is ending up with the error page and declined page which is from your website not from our side. If the donor passes the correct values then the thank you page is coming without any issues with valid information.

      Our test shows that the error page is made to show your pages only. None of the pages coming from our side and if you are seeing anything other than your website pages, please share the screenshot and URL of that page.

      Regarding the multiple donations you are referring to, please share the order numbers so that we can review them.
