  • Understanding Scheduled Paas Jobs in Salesforce

    Hi CnP.Support

An admin staff member who is no longer with my orgnanization has left 3 C&P related scheduled Jobs. In the process of trying to understand what these scheduled jobs do, I ran into a bit of a problem and am trying to learn as much info on them as possible. Could you possibly help shed light on the following, see if any C&P components auto-create these jobs, or if manually created, any info on what their function is?

    Scheduled Job # 1: PaaS_Contribution_Statistics
    Scheduled Job # 2: PaaS_EmailSender
Scheduled Job # 3: Event Registration Emails (I thought this is C&P related job, given C&P's event management, but I may be wrong).

Ultimately, once I learn how to recreate these scheduled jobs, I want to have them be scheduled under a departmental email address to avoid any future transitions of scheduled jobs when staff depart the organization.

Thank you so much for your help!

    Good day @Khatchadour

Jobs may be deleted and recreate it. Please note that the Jobs will be created with the integrated user in Connect. So, you may need to establish the connection in Connect with the departmental User in Salesforce (Sys Admin profile).

    However, here is the information:

PaaS_Contribution_Statistics: This job is for patron/donor rank calculation. Based on the Analytics at C&P Settings >> Analytics, you may Activate or Deactivate the job.

PaaS_EmailSender: This job will be created based on C&P Autoresponder queue. If you delete the Job then it will auto recreate it upon any new transaction processed.

Event Registration Emails: This Job is for Event application. If you have set to send the Registration Emails with some delay (NOT immediately) then it will create the Job. You may delete it, in order to recreate it simply go to the respective Registration Emails section and edit the template and save it.

    Hope that helps.

      Hi CnP.Support.AM

Wow, this was super helpful. Thank you so much!

One followup questions regarding PaaS_EmailSender: Previously my team had created 3 auto responses (one goes through Salesforce immediately, a nicer acknowledgement goes out of C&P a bit later, and a 3rd one I am seeing as a decline email embedded through the C&P Autoresponder tab). Should I assume the job is related to the only one I find under C&P settings > Autoresponder > In this case Decline Email?

      Thank you again!

        Good day @Khatchadour

Is that the only responder you have Active? Then it may be the related one.

          Hi CnP.Support.AM

Yes, that's the only one through C&P's Autoresponder. This helps shed light. Thank you!
