Opportunity created and modified by wrong user

Please note that if the transaction is processed from Connect or any of the app then the integrated user i.e. "Candace Strickland" will be the created user as well as the "modified by User" for that record. In case of transaction process through temp contact then the user who processes the temp contact will be the created and modified user of that record.

I am an administrator in our Salesforce along with several other people in our finance department because as the event coordinator, I need to update the C&P transactions that come through as opportunities in Salesforce. Well I must have changed something in my user settings either in Connect or in the Salesforce setup because ALL C&P opportunities have my name as "Created by" or "Modified by" when I haven't even been into the opportunity. So now we don't know which of us has created or modified anything. All of the transactions that have my name are either C&P event opps or Connect opps.
Please tell me what I did wrong! Or if I need to post this somewhere else.
