    Hello,

We are using our test C&P account with the sandbox to test the receipting before pushing to production with the code change. Account #25705. The address and name and phone and everything were junk, so I set them properly to be the same as the real live C&P account, and about 30 minutes later ran a transaction to generate the receipt and it still had the old values in the upper address & phone. Is there some sort of cache? Or the updates in the Account Info page in the C&P portal take some time to commit?

    Thanks,
    Sara

It turns out that the reason that the old values were still in is because nothing stuck even though I hit update on each and every value on the Account Info page. Have you seen that happen before? I had two different windows open for two different accounts - is it possible that the sessions somehow overwrote each other? Literally not one of the values I put in was saved. At any rate I did it again and it seems to have stuck this time - but two questions -
      1. Where does the value come from that's in the top area that the green arrow is pointing to? I can't find it anywhere. I know where the actual text that goes on the CC line item is stored, and it is definitely not "Kell Partner" - which is a random name.
      2. There's an email address listed on the receipts I am receiving in the top Company Info area - and it's the email listed in the "Receipt / Email Notification:" field in Account Info. the internal email address we want to receive a copy of every receipt (close to 200K of them per season) is not anything we want exposed to everyone making a purchase. is there a way to not have that email shown, yet receive a copy of receipts?

      Thanks!
      Sara

        Good day!

A single browser shares sessions. This is why you can right click on a tab and say open in a new tab. The same is true with Salesforce- you may have many tabs open with the same account. If you open a new account in a new tab then sessions will be shared and as such data may be corrupted. As an example try doing the same in Salesforce and you will see the same.

It is highly recommended that you use 2 different browsers, e.g. Chrome & Firefox and use each for a different account.

        Answers to your questions:

1: The TEXT is not editable as it is the value sent to us by the gateway/bank for the merchant account. The text is the name of the account as it will appear on the credit card. If you wish to change it you need to contact Transfirst (if in US) and request name change. Once they change the name then we will be able to change it in our system. That text is not editable by you.

2: There are 2 fields for email as is in Account Info > Profile

Receipt Reply To Email: This is the email that will be shown as the sender and if the patron replies to the email it will be sent to this email.
Receipt Email Notification: This is the email(s) that will receive a copy of the receipt for ALL transactions.

If you wish to customize the Receipt Header simply customize the Organization Information for the WID being used. In your FaaS form you are using a WID variable - the Organization Information field for the WID is what will be used for the receipt. The WID reference is primarily designed so such attributes may be customized without having to change the code.

        Hope that answers your question.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Thanks for your speedy response -

for #1, How would the gateway/bank be sending you "Kell Partners" - we have nothing to do with them - it doesn't make sense. I know it's a test account - but still? Do other companies share it?

for #2, I think you may have misunderstood - "receipt/Email Notification Email" field is showing up in the header in the organization section as the Organization's Email - seen here. How can we remove that or have it be instead the Reply-to email? The email you see there is not listed anywhere else and I experimented and verified it does always show the receipt/email notification field.

            Good day!

You did not mention it is a TEST account. Test accounts are only issued to partners and not clients. Are you a Partner and are you with Kell Partners?

The email you are referring to is related to the information you have with the WID in your form. What is the WID in the form?

Exponent Partners is a partner, and is not Kell Partners or related to them. I am with the client but Exponent partners has us use their test system.

I am not sure what a WID is or what form you are referring to - this is PaaS - no form. and you or someone previously explained the information is pulled out of the Admin Info section, and I have verified as you see that the email I was pointing to is in fact the email listed as the receipting email. That address is listed nowhere else except that one field in Admin Info.

              Thanks,
              Sara

                Good day!

I changed the information to point to Exponent Partners.

Every form has to have a WID as reference. Please ask your developer what WID they have used.

Each checkout page uses a WID and they are used as reference in the API (PaaS) codes.

You can also see what WID you are using if you see the footer of the receipt:

Once you find the WID go to the checkout page and edit it in the portal. There is a field called Organization Information

If you review the WID (checkout page) then you will see what is going on.

You may want to attend our office hours so we can walk you through it.

                  Hello,

                  Thanks for changing the name.

We don't have a WID. Nothing on the bottom of the receipt except PaaS. There is NO checkout page - again, this is PaaS - we coded against the API directly, there is no page except our own custom visualforce pages.

I already enclosed the receipt org info for you in a prior post - and it is EXACTLY what is listed in the Admin portal in the Admin Info page - but the email address is the "Receipt/Email Notification" email, as I already explained, it is not the email I would expect to see there which should either be the Primary Contact Email Address or the Receipt Reply To Email. This is a pretty important issue as we are trying to put out the receipting today. But, we don't want our CEO's email address going out on every receipt since he is the one listed in the "Receipt/Email Notification" field as he wants a copy of every receipt.

I am not sure the email communication on this is very effective - is there an easier way to discuss this like via phone?

                  Thanks,
                  Sara

                    Good day!

You may join our daily office hour if you wish to talk to us regarding this issue. You may register & attend any day: http://ClickandPledge.com/Webinar/

                    Is this a recurring payment?

Can you give us the Order Number for the transaction you are referring to? We need to review where it is coming from and what page is posting this to us. The information you are providing is a bit inconsistent and we need to review the posted data to better determine where this information is coming from.

Simply send us the Order Number and we can see what is going on.

Here you go (it's every transaction under this account, but here's a limited assortment):
and no, we have no such thing as a recurring transaction.

                        Good day!

We reviewed all these transactions and all are behaving as expected. Here is what is going on.

All posts to our API require a parameter for the checkout page to be used as reference. In the absence of a reference WID the default WID will be used.

Checkout pages have a setting called "Default". In your case - see below:

If you go through this page and reach the section titled "Organization Information" - see below:

Information from this section will be used for all Receipt Header information.

The idea behind this feature is simple - a site is typically designed by developers and once released (similar to your case) there is no point in constantly contacting them for every change of address or email. Using the address for a checkout page provides an easy way for the account to update the receipt without having to change the code.

In reviewing the transactions it seems like this field has changed several times.

Based on how the system is to behave the receipts should be showing the information that is currently in that field.

                        Are you seeing anything different?

I'm sorry, but this is not what we are seeing. I wish you would refer back to my original question, where I pasted in a visual excerpt from our receipt - which has NOT that address you just pointed to, it has the address from the Account Info page. and it has NOT that email you are pointing to, but AGAIN, it has the email from the Receipt / Email Notification: address. Now you are pointing to some wizard page that has nothing to do with what is on our receipts. It makes perfect sense to me that the address on the Account Info page is on our receipt for our organization, just to reiterate the problem is the EMAIL. The Receipt/Email Notification email address should NOT be on our receipts. It makes no sense for that to be the one included.

                          Please see post #19.

                          Please advise,

It's not a form, it's an internal visualforce page in our salesforce instance. Do you still have login access? If so, you would go to a school account (any account where record type = school), make an opportunity off of it for fee waivers or school subscription, (make sure the stage you set is Negotiation/Review) and then on the opportunity you would push the make payment button. That brings up a payment processor page.

                              Thanks,

I just tried to run a transaction and received a decline.

This form is in production and as such we can't test it. Here is what I see in the posted stream: <OrderMode>Production</OrderMode>

Is it possible to put this form in "Test" mode?
