We have reviewed & fixed the permission. Please test it.
We tried to push a transaction but it seems like your Sandbox is not connected to a C&P Account so we could not test the end result. It should work.

User created
Hello, I created the requested user with those permissions in our Production instance. But not sure I would want this tested in our production instance by trying it out. I also created one with the same info in our Full Sandbox.Leave a comment:

We have reviewed the profile & it seems like all is in order. We also created a similar profile in our own test instance and a user with that profile could delete the temp contact.
For us to test this further we need to have a user with that profile in your instance so can login as that user and test. Please set up a user in your instance and set the email to [email protected]
Let us know when that user has been set up so we can request a password reset and proceed with testing.Leave a comment:

Access granted
I think we have matched all of our dupes and deleted all of the temp contacts using an admin account. So I gave you access to our production account, but I also gave you access to our full sandbox called innovative on https://cs16.salesforce.com. There are unmatched dupes in the sandbox. And the profile I want to allow to do matches is called Fundraising and Development. the dupe matching works for Basic Administrator profile, but not Fundraising and Development.
Oops, forgot the details. Org name = The Cara Program. ID = 00Di0000000bkb8.

Permission error on matching potential dupes
we are having a couple issues with the deleting of temp contacts, but it seems to be our fault. It seems we are missing a permission. Here is the error they are getting:
Error:
Delete failed. First exception on row 0 with id a0ti0000003mGgyAAE; first error: INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS_OR_READONLY, insufficient access rights on object id: []
Steps to recreate, we were in the C&P PaaS app, on the C&P Temporary Contact tab
1. clicked on the temp contact name, which pulls up the details
2. scrolled to bottom, to "attach to Existing Contact"
3. Selected the row to merge with, clicked Process
Then got the error above.
I am guessing we are missing a permission allowing the user to delete some part of the temporary contact, because Salesforce relies on the delete permissions to do a merge.
They do have permission to Read, Create, Edit, Delete, View All, Modify All, View Setup, Edit Setup, Delete Setup on:
C&P Temporary Contact
Accounts
Contacts
Opportunities
