  • Payment Processor Integration went away with upgrade Instance #1

    Help! We have two event on Friday, in two different instances of Salesforce. I will post twice, once for each. When we go to enter a ticket sale in auctions for salesforce, or pre-swipe a credit card, it doesn't know where we are storing the information. I remember this from years ago - I believe it's a virtual terminal issue, and I even have the code I need to input, but I cannot remember where to do so.

    Good day Kate,

    Sorry but we are unable to see the image. If you click on the image you have uploaded you see how small the image is.

    The issue with the image is its format. Please post images as JPG since PNG format shows as extremely small.

    Once we see the image we will be able to figure out what is going on.

    By the way, your account is not at the latest update. We can upgrade you if you grant us login access.

        Good day!

        Sorry for the situation-- we do not see the error. If you post the image as JPG we can.

        Guessing the issue is with the Auction update, as we have seen this reported before. Please see below setting in Auctions. Please note that this is not a C&P issue but an Auction setting. Hope this helps.

        The new Auction has a new field that you have left blank and the Auction app is returning error. This is a new field added by David Habib.

        If the Auction setting field is blank you will get the error shown above.

        Hope that helps.

        Also-- your instance is not up-to-date. Do you want us to upgrade your instance to the latest C&P releases?

          Thank you - we are getting there. Do you have any idea what code should be used? I tried both the credit card charge and credit card validate urls and neither would process.

                Good day!

                Oh No! not by any means. Auctions for Salesforce is not a C&P product. David handles it directly and it is his product. We are offering help where we can to help our clients with getting answer fast rather than going around the support circles.

                  Good day!

                  We contacted David Habib and here is the response:

                  "If the user has the NPSP they should leave it blank, and A4S will automatically save the payment method on the Payments object (if they have NPSP payments enabled).

                  If they aren't using NPSP, then they should create a custom field on Opportunity to track the Payment Method, and then specify the developer name of that custom opportunity field in this setting. So if the Opportunity custom field is called "My Custom Payment Field", then the developer name of it should be saved in settings as My_Custom_Payment_Field__c

                  If they want to track Payment Method on some other custom related object, they can't do it directly. Ie, A4S won't know how to write to a related record. They would need to have a custom field on Opportunity, which they specify as described above, and then they could use their own flow, process, or trigger to copy their Opportunity Payment Method field to their related object.

                  Hope that explains it well enough."

                    We do not have NPSP installed. Looking in the app exchange, Basis NPSP does not seem to be there. There is one for relationships and one for affiliations. Should I just install one of these?

                    I cannot make ANY sense of his instructions for those not using NPSP. Help????

                      Please allow 24 hours for the test and implementation to complete. We will create the field and assign to the Auction setting as instructed by David Habib.
