  • Authorization Code

    Hello,

    We have access to the transaction ID, but we don't have the authorization code from the transaction. This code is what the bank has for the transaction, so matching the bank to Salesforce is cumbersome at best. Is there a way for us to get access to the authorization code via the API?

    Good day!

    This data is not available from the bank and as such we do not have access to it as a web service.

    We will include this in an update so it pushes to Salesforce as part of the transaction. I have requested this as a feature for the next update.

        Good day!

        The authorization code is already in the Connect report as replied to in another post by you.

        As for Salesforce, the Authorization code is already being posted and is in the C&P Data and in the Transaction record - see below:

        We are not adding this to the opportunity since a single transaction may include many opportunities and it is redundant data. We can consider adding this to the opportunity record but it will be a lot of wasted space as the data is already available.

          Hi there,

          We use the PaaS library as explained somewhere. we don't use the transaction record from C&P we have our own custom objects - is the Authorization code available in the PaaS library? If so, perhaps it wasn't when we implemented it 2 years ago? Or maybe we just missed it...

            Good day @Sara,

            If you are using the API Class Library the authorization code is not saved anywhere since there is no where to save it. The authorization code is returned to you in the response code after your request.

            The response of the web service is the authorization code and order number plus a number other codes, e.g. authorized, declined, etc.
