    We have received six Delivery Status Notification messages with the following message body:
    This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

    THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

    YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

    Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.


    The attachment of each message is a receipt sent by the PaaS system. We are not sending receipts to donors through PaaS, but through the Salesforce Autoresponder system. I suspect this was a short-term glitch because it only happened from about 5am to 10am yesterday, but I would like to confirm this was a known issue and has been resolved. Alternately, if I need to change something, please help me understand what that might be.

    Sorry for that email - yesterday one of our primary backup receipt servers had to be taken offline for a short time and a number of receipts meant for backup were bounced. Since your email is in the reply to address you received the bounced message.

    The emails were our own internal backup and not related to you or your patrons. Every transaction generates a receipt that goes to our archival system for backup and an issue with the redundant switch forced the main archival email server to be cycled and during that time the messages bounced and unfortunately ended up with you.

    We are adding a change to the system so this does not happen in the future. Sorry again.
