  • Error Code 5001

    Hi there,

    I've tried to process a transaction several times, but keep getting Error Code 5001 (Decline)

    I've contacted our member and confirmed the credit card number and expiration date. He also said he's used the card multiple times today.

    Could you confirm what this error code means exactly and if there could be a problem on your end?

    Good day!

    Error code 5001 means general decline by the bank. The error codes are all in the API manual - see: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/Response.html

    A 5001 means the issuing bank has declined the card. In the Connect platform we show you the reason for decline as was sent to us by the issuing bank. If you give me the first name and last initial as well as the date the attempt was made we can lookup the reason and let you know.

      Hi!

      Thanks for looking into this. In addition to the declined card I tried to run myself, I've received a couple similar complaints from our members.

      I'd appreciate if you could look into the following attempts and let me know any additional details you have:

      Leslie H - August 25 and 26​
      Peter B - August 26

          I reviewed account # 22990 and do not see any transactions by Leslie H. or Peter B on August 25 - 26

          I expanded to search to January 1 to today and do not see any patron with first name Leslie or Peter M.

          The referenced account number is the one listed in your forum profile. If you are referring to another account please let me know.

          Please note that whatever information I can provide you can see in Connect. The decline reasons are provided in the Connect administrative portal.

              Which form are you using for this transaction? Is this a web form or the virtual terminal?
