"Preauthorization Request"

We processed a payment for a Membership and received a Receipt that says "Preauthorization Request"
The card wasn't charged any amount but a membership opportunity was created for the full amount.
A C&P transaction was created for $0.

Can you provide some details on how this pre-authorization transaction works?

This only happens in the Virtual Terminal if you set the Charge Date to a date in the future.

Are you sure the ChargeDate was not set to the future?

Do you have the Order # so we can review the posted transaction?
