We use the API to submit contributions. When the contributor receives the email receipt, the following alert is displayed at the top:
I assume that I can set this "appears as" name somewhere, but I'm not having any luck. I spoke with John earlier via live support, and we tried to use the DynamicDescriptor element without any success. Running the API request through the XML sandbox while using the DynamicDescriptor element yields the following error:
I understand that the API documentation says that the <DynamicDescriptor> element is reserved for In-house Accounts and is ignored on Merchant Accounts, but if that's the case, 1) generating an error is not "ignoring" the element, and 2) I'm still left with the question of where to provide the "Charge Appears As" information.
