How do you issue a refund in C&P?

Thanks for the link! I actually followed this, but when I got to the last step, it wouldn't do anything when I clicked on Credit. Any advice on what the problem is? Thanks.

I know this is really a basic question, but we are at a conference and need to find out how we can issue a refund for someone who made a donation. I know how to do this through C&P, it's just when I click the Credit button, it doesn't do anything.
