  • Virtual terminal and transaction detail questions

    Hello - I've got 2 for you:

    1. Various people in our office have been using the Virtual Terminal feature in SalesForce to process transactions. Every transaction that is created is done so with the owner and last modified by fields entered as my account, regardless who actually processed the transaction. Is there a way I can change this to reflect who actually ran the card so we can keep track of who is using the system?

    2. On the transaction detail page, I do not see an itemized list of what was purchased or any information about skus or other details. Should this be here? Is there a place I can find these details elsewhere?

    Thanks!

    Good day!

REPLY: The transactions are recorded as the USER that is connecting to Salesforce. What is the Salesforce UserID that is used to connect Click & Pledge to Salesforce? It is not a bad feature to consider!

REPLY: The items purchased are listed as opportunities and the SKU's are also saved with the opportunity. You are NOT seeing the opportunities as a related list?

This would be a very helpful feature if each transaction connected to the user that actually ran it. Both for security and reporting reasons.

No - there is a "related opportunities" section on the screen but the list is blank in all cases. Is this something I missed in initial setup?

      Thanks

        Good day!

Please go to C&P Data and select a transaction which has the Opportunity missing.

Scroll down to the bottom and check the status. Do you see any errors?

I've just had a chance to take a look at this. I've found that my most recent transactions do have the opportunity line so hopefully this part is OK. I'm still not seeing the SKU anywhere, though. Can I edit the transaction detail view to show the sku? And can I add it to the opportunity detail view too?

          Thanks

            Good day!

SKU is not the default field in the opportunity. You need to add it by customizing the layout:

            1. Click on Opportunity Tab and select an existing opportunity.
            2. Click on Edit Layout

In the available field options select SKU and position it in the Opportunity layout page.

            hope this helps.
