C&P Forms Web Accessibility (WCAG)

Hello -

We are in the process of transitioning our custom donation form over to the more standard forms from connect. We are interested to know if the forms meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards for web accessibility?

I know that we are in control of design elements like color, transparency, etc, but are sensitive to issues around focus, keyboard inevitability and labeling.

I searched the forum but didn't come across any convos on this.

We are currently making changes to become compatible with this standard, but we do meet most of the criteria already.
We do have some 'alt' tags that need to be defined which might affect labeling.

We do plan to be compatible with this standard by the September release.

We are testing things and it looks like overlay is tab navigable for the most part, except over the donation amount and frequency buttons. Is this part of the updates being made or is there already a work around to make that part work?

Also, is there an update on when the September release will be pushed out?

There is a release coming out next week, however, I'm working to confirm that this will include all aspects of the WCAG guidelines.

Yes. As I shared in my previous message, it does not appear that the user can fully navigate the overlay form using the tab button.

Tabbing on the form does not allow me to see/select options that can be selected for donation amounts and frequency. In order for the form to be accessible the donor would need to be able to complete a donation without using their mouse and right now it doesn't look like that is possible on the overlay form.

The next release is due in November, and we can focus on correcting closing the overlay in that release. We are continuing to review the WCAG guideline, and we are testing to find where changes may still need to be made. Please let us know should you run into a similar problem.
