  • Form processing payments with CVV code correct or incorrect

    I have a form that is posting payments with incorrect CVV codes and when I compare the processing with a Paypal, it tells me the card is declined.

    I would like to understand how the API does the validation of the code.

    Sorry but I am not sure I understand what you are asking.

    Are you saying that our API changes the CVV code to something else or that when you post an invalid CVV the card authorizes and the same card with invalid CV2 declines in PayPal.

    I am not quite sure I understand what you are asking.

      The CVV code that is put in the form is accepted regardless if its valid or not. The test was done on our form and paypal; paypal rejected the card and our system accepted.

      We are concerned the transactions are not processing correctly.

        Good day!

        Our system posts it to the bank and if the bank accepts it we authorize it. Some banks are flexible on the CV2 and some are rigid.

        Have you received the payment in your bank? if we authorize it and it shows up in the report then the money has gone through.
