  • FaaS Form Not Posting to Salesforce

I'm testing the FaaS form from Wisconsin Bike Fed http://wisconsinbikefed.org/lab//?mode=test
I got a ***Test Mode Transaction***Receipt but nothing posted to sf. And from what I could tell things looked good in https://verify.faas.cloud.clickandpledge.com.
I've just granted login access if you need it.

I've joined this conversation because it is unclear to me what data can be posted to Salesforce. We need product options to be available for reporting... from what I can tell, there are no built-in C&P fields to track this sort of data.

Also, I am looking for a recommendation on which SSL certificate is required by the API. I plan to purchase a 128-bit wildcard cert from ssls.com. Is this sufficient?

      Good day Jeff,

We reviewed your instance and noticed that the user that is connecting to Salesforce is NOT an admin user and does not have enough permissions to add data to the C&P Data object. The user needs to be an admin user. If you review the user's profile you will see that is not admin.

Please change the profile to admin and test it.

        Good day @btaoregon,

Before I answer your first question I want to make sure I answer your question. Please DO NOT purchase a 128 bit SSL key since it is not PCI compliant and browsers will stop supporting them as a security measure. The SSL has to be 256 bit length.

As for your question about products. We post the item name, quantity, unit price, etc. to Salesforce. If you enable Opportunity > Products in Salesforce you will need to go to C&P Settings > Opportunity and enable "Opportunity Products" in there as well.

When Products are used all items in the basket will become products under one opportunity. If you don't use Products then each item in the basket will become an opportunity.

Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance.

BTW: your question is not related to Jeff's question as it was related to connection. It is best to create new topics when the question is not 100% related to the current topic.

What is the basis for this statement? I haven't heard this before.

PCI mandates are now for 256 bit encryption. 128 bit is no longer supported if you wish to be PCI compliant. Last year C&P converted all servers to 256 bit per requirements.

There is also no reason to purchase 128bit since it is the same price as 256bit.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that was the problem. Changing the user's profile to System Admin worked. I had originally created another profile so I could set the "not required to change password" setting in the profile for just this user. It looks like I had cloned the standard user profile to create this custom dedicated 3rd party app profile.

What settings exactly are needed for the C&P user?

              Thanks
              Jeff

                Jeff,

There are a lot of permissions that needs to be set to allow for all options that need to be created. Contacts, opportunities, temp objects of C&P, ..

We truly recommend for the connector to be an admin user to avoid any issues.
