Disable submit button to prevent double charge on double click

I wish we could help. We don't have WordPress expertise and as such do not know what works and what does not.

Hope it helps. API forms are designed by developers and is an open platform. Considering the many platforms and languages employed in doing these forms we are typically out of the loop.

I put this code in my wordpress page to prevent double clicks on the submit button but wordpress just erases it after I save it:

onclick="this.disabled=true;this."
