"Check Is Not Verified"

Hi,

When processing a check payment, this text appears in the Authorization Code. What does this mean, and does it affect the processing of the transaction?

The transaction went through (i.e., the error URL wasn't invoked), so I have to think this is not an error as such but just some message reflecting the status of the transaction?

This question was already answered during the office hours and was not updated in the forum.

All check transactions are "not verified" transactions. This is related to how checks are processed as they are not like credit cards. With checks the batch will post to the banks and only after the check clears the transaction is complete. Credit cards are verified immediately since they are centralized whereas banks are not and as such checks cannot be verified in real-time.
