Forms posting to Click and Pledge - what next

Hello,
Using the example templates, I have created 3 forms that can be found on the following pages:

They all post to click and pledge and the authorize, decline & error links are:

I have a few questions about what to do next:

1. How do I know if the forms are working? I have submitted a blank form and receive the error message which seems ok.
2. I want to add validation to the forms - If I do this it will have no affect on the submissions will it?
3. Is there any click and pledge icons /security messages I can add to my forms pages to reassure users the donation is secure etc.?

In line 462 of your source code (as numbered in View Source):

input type="hidden" name="OrderMode" id="OrderMode" value="Test"

The value is "Test" - this allows you to test the form using the following information:

Credit card number: 4111111111111111
Expiration date: any date in future (e.g. 12/2020)
CV2: any 3 digit number (e.g. 123)

I suggest that you test your pages before going live. Make sure to change the mode to Production before going live as well. We have had cases where forms were left in Test mode and naturally all real cards were being declined.

Replies to your questions:

Reply: Validations are local and we won't even see them. We only see what you post to us once the end user clicks on the SUBMIT button.

Scroll down and there is a button called "Click & Pledge Secured". The button is designed to serve the purpose you are inquiring about.

My forms return the error message when I submit the test credit card number etc....why would this be happening?

The Error message is part of the redirect to the Error page URL.

It redirects to the error page url that i specified in the form - is this correct then?

Yes - it will redirect to the page you specify for error - but the URL that you are seeing has various parameters also included. You are supposed to read the URL and show the variables.

Generate an error response and then attach the URL as it shows to the forum and we can tell you what is wrong. The URL error message should be self explanatory.

Support for FaaS & API is only provided through the forum.

When you run the test please copy the URL that we post back to in the forum and we can find out what is wrong. The URL will contain the error message.

as you see the URL is telling you what the error is:

err=Invalid Checkout page 28wid%29

You need to first define a checkout page and use the WID for the checkout page in the WID hidden field. The error message is clearly stating what is wrong.

The secured button includes a file sample as well as the image. The folder includes the following 2 files:

- ClickandPledge_Secured.swf
- index.html

The file index.html has the Flash script that you can add to your site. The ClickandPledge_Secured.swf should be hosted locally as well and referenced in the script file.

Hi - I have read the articles in the forum about checkout pages but am still confused!
Is the checkout page another HTML page that I code out and that sits on my host server with the other website files......? What is the WID?

Please follow the steps listed below:

- Login to the administrative system
- Click on Checkout Pages
- Create (or use an existing) an easyPage through the wizard.
- Use the WID for an existing page or the one you just created new.

The checkout pages are pages that are defined inside the administrative system. The idea is simple- instead of passing a large number of variables to the API one can easily set up a page and set its attributes through the admin then use the WID in the FaaS or PaaS to customize the receipt.
