  • Multiple Charges on One C&P Order

We had an issue last week where a registrant for an event was charged four times for the same transactions. Each order had a different
    C&P #:

    1404231102435001027
    1404231103309221027
    1404231103316251027
    1404231103322811027

There were four transactions generated into Salesforce and Click and Pledge and he was charged $295 four times. Could you take a look at this for us?

Our Salesforce ID is 00Di0000000iX2P and access has been granted.

Also, we did not receive any kind of email receipt for the three credits we processed - should we be getting receipts? And how can we re-run and print a receipt for our records to document this credit? Thank you.

    Good day!

I reviewed your case and all 4 transactions appear to have come through the form. The time difference between each post is 1 second so that tells me the form was clicked for processing repeatedly four times.

May I ask which form you are using? Do you have a link to your form I can review.

Thank you - that is what we feared, that the donor clicked "Submit" multiple times, but he assured us that it was only once.

The link is below for you to check out. Thanks!

        Good day!

This is a custom form and I reviewed the posted XML's and we have received four submissions back-to-back from your servers within 2 seconds.

I have seen this many times when people double click on a submit button since they are used to double clicking on any desktop icon.

I strongly recommend that you ask your developer to block the submit button once it has been clicked. Web forms should always block double clicks on the submit button. This issue may easily be fixed but requires your developer implementing the safety feature.

I wish I could be of more help.
