INvalid email address error

I got the following error message for a transaction that did not post to Salesforce on a custom form

"Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: INVALID_EMAIL_ADDRESS, Email: invalid email address: [email protected]: [Email]"

Is there a way to edit and correct the email address so it will post?
