  • Declined transaction - Foreign country

    Hello!

    I recently got an email from someone in France saying that their donation was declined. Our donation FaaS form under countries had all countries listed. My question is whether there are other settings in the civicrm that have to be set to allow donations from other countries? Our webmaster had accidentally listed in the civicrm > localization > Contact Address field (only countries available as US and Canada). If we switch setting to not limit available countries will payments be accepted from all foreign countries?

    Good day Anna,

    We have clients in over 40 countries and have no problem processing transactions from any country. If the card authorizes we process it.

    When a donation declines it may have to do with their card rather than your site. If you let me know the first name and last initial as well as the amount I can look up the transaction and see if it has hit our system and if so why has it declined.

        Good day!

        I reviewed your account [Advocates for the West = # 19136) and see no records for Gisele L. - no transactions from her has ever hit our system since there are no decline, blocked, or authorized transactions from her.

        As for countries other than US or Canada, Click & Pledge processes payments from any country in the world.

          My account is 26809, organization name FinAid App 800-844-2207. We suspect the fraud risk screen is blocking payments from Viet Nam, Ghana and Brazil, among other countries.
          Try these names. They each had multiple failed transaction attempts.

            We don't discuss Fraud issues & actions over the forum.

            We have contacted your organization several times & have left many messages asking for a call back but we have not heard back.
