Limiting number of transactions by SKU

We have not integrated our C&P/Salesforce operation with a shopping cart. We need to do ticket sales for an film festival that is happening in two weeks. There are 4 separate showings which will have ticket sales, and the theatre has a limit of 99 seats. We do plan on using Swiper1 at the event.

We certainly don't have time to try to do a full cart integration or try to implement some type of event management app. I'd like to set up a FaaS to do the sales, and have those transactions go straight into Salesforce, as we currently do donations.

Is there any way to limit the number of ticket sales so we can't over-sell each showing?

Currently the FaaS form does not support inventory and as such you won't be able to do what you want to do.

The idea has been suggested by others and we have it in the road map to add it to the API. It will be first quarter release for next year.

I have not heard anything about this now being available (doesn't mean that it's not), but as a suggestion, we have since implemented C&P Events and I'm pretty happy with it. That could be an option for you.

Not yet- we are about to release a major product with Connect and all efforts are on that release.

Adding inventory to FaaS requires a number of major changes to the API which is designed into the features to be added to Connect. We simply need to come up with SKU management in Connect.

I agree that it is a great feature to add but we need a little more time until all checkout pages and features are ported to Connect.
