  • changing unitprice based on form selection, including a $0.00 price

I created a custom form for a film entry for our film festival, for amateur and professional filmmakers the film entry price is $10. Student filmmakers are supposed to be able to enter films at no charge.

But obviously this is a dilemma- surely C&P didn't intend for people to use FAAS for a transaction that doesn't include a financial amount.

Can I set the UnitPrice1 equal to $0.00?

    thanks, Amanda

    Good day @Amanda,

Yes you can. Make sure the TransactionType is set to Authorization and not CreditCard if you wish to use the Credit Card.

    See: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/For...pt_Information

If the person will not pay anything please use Invoicing as payment information and do not pass any credit card information. See: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/For...nt_Information

Let me know if you need any additional information.

      I changed the UnitPrice1 value to 0.00
I changed the TransactionType value to "Authorize".
I changed the PaymentType value to "Invoice"
I added an InvoiceNumber value of "Student Film Entry"

I receive an error that says "Error: The basket is empty"

      What did I miss?

        Good day @CarolinaTigerRescue:

Please post your form to: https://verify.FaaS.Cloud.ClickandPledge.com

You will see the parameters that are required and missing.

Basket Empty the following is missing:

        - ItemName1
        - Quantity1

Since you are using Invoice as PaymentType you need to change the TransactionType to Payment since there is no pre-authorization for an invoice.

I do have both ItemName1 and Quantity1 included in the form. The verify.FAAS... result said that my SSL status was insecure- but I am using https: and this is the same server I'm using to process other payments, so it should be secure.

The only required field I don't appear to have is Credit Card number and CV2- are these still required for invoicing?

I'm continuing to have this problem with the same results posting to the "verify" location. (and incidently, I'm also having a lot of difficulty replying to this message. I've made multiple attempts over several days and keep getting the message my token has expired, even after reloading the page)

                Good day @CarolinaTigerRescue:

I am a bit confused about your post. What do you mean by token has expired? Is this related to the API or the forum?

As for your problem that you state is still happening- are you saying that you are still getting "Basket is empty" message?

One is in reference to the "invoice" FAAS form, the other is a problem I'm having posting a response to this incident in the forum.

Regarding the invoice form problem, I am no longer getting the "basket empty" message because I have changed the the form's action property to "https://verify.FaaS.Cloud.ClickandPledge.com"- so now after submitting the form I am left on a page that my SSL status is insecure (but I am on an SSL server and I'm using https in the URL) and then lists the fields that are required and what the responses for my fields are from the form.

Regarding my problems replying to the forum, when I enter a message and hit "Post Quick Reply", the following screen says my "token has expired" and that I should go back (to the forum post) and refresh the page to correct the problem. Except this doesn't correct the problem- apparently I have to close the tab, start a new one and login again, find my post again and then re-write my reply. Rather tedious because I hit the button to "Quick Reply", think the post has been added and move onto other things, and only later discover that it wasn't posted at all.

                    Good day!

Please change it back to https://faas.cloud.clickandpledge.com and see if it is working now.

The Verify is only to double check the settings. The SSL in the verify-er may not be seeing the right parameters but that is the issue with the verify site.

Test it and let me know.

We will check the forum - at times different browsers behave differently with the forum from our own experience.
