  • Repurposing Custom Forms for Use on Multiple Pages

    Hi,
I am trying to have a custom form developed by Click and Pledge. I have a template to share with them and know what I want. I want to know if the page I receive from CnP will have the following capabilities:

    1) can hidden fields be located on this page for record type, campaign ID, etc?
    2) can the hidden field values be changed by org after receiving a fully developed custom form? We will re-use the code on this page for multiple pages and would like to change the default values between pages.
    3) can the Dedication pages be hidden until the user hits a radio button?
    4) what's the process to build the form? can we review, comment and request additional changes to the form before it's finished?

    Thanks, STW13

    Good day @STW13:

Answers to your questions follow your questions below:

    1. Can hidden fields be located on this page for record type, campaign ID, etc?

REPLY: Record types may be assigned per SKU. Record type is either for Contact or Opportunity and as such based on SKU of the item purchased the values may change inside Salesforce. What we suggest is come up with an SKU for the donation item or other payment. In Salesforce you may set up filters such as; If SKU is abc then set the record type to "Donor". See the following: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/Salesforce-PaaS-Settings.html#Opportunity -- see the Record Type section towards the bottom.

    2. Can the hidden field values be changed by org after receiving a fully developed custom form? We will re-use the code on this page for multiple pages and would like to change the default values between pages.

REPLY: Will you be hosting this page yourself? If so then we will be sending you the code but I am not sure you really want to send these values as hidden values. You may change all these within Salesforce. In each page simply change the SKU of the items.

    3. Can the Dedication pages be hidden until the user hits a radio button?

REPLY: Yes- this can be done.

    4. What's the process to build the form? can we review, comment and request additional changes to the form before it's finished?

REPLY: Yes- you can request changes before we go live. We simply ask that you send us a design or idea to be built and our team will work with you to develop the final form. Once approved we will deploy it and you may iFrame it in your site.

I hope I have answered your question. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
