  • Credit Cards Denied

We have a lot of supports who are complaining that one or more of the credit cards are being declined. We're using FaaS with a number of other client websites, but none of them have experience this high frequency of credit card denials. I tested will all of my cards (Visa and MC), both credit cards and debit cards. A couple of them were declined every time. Now one of those cards is being accepted. What's going on?!

We're using 'Payment' as a transaction type.

I'd appreciate any insight on this. This FaaS form is being used on an event registration form for a fundraiser, which is a big deal for us.

    Thank you!

    Good day!

The problem is your form is set to monitor fraud and fraud monitoring has been enabled on the checkout page used.

You have used the same IP address for a ton of transactions and the fraud system has detected fraudulent attempts with different credit cards hitting the same IP address and then alternating different emails.

Our system has blocked your IP address and then all the following emails and patterns. As a result of this any attempt with variations of these patterns were being blocked.

These issues are not something that our support department can look to resolve. A developer has to review your form, review all account transactions, and find out what is going on.

Developers should not use a live account for testing - the moment a form is placed in production mode the fraud monitoring system will start watching the activities on the form. In TEST mode no fraud is monitored and as a result posts may be made continuously and the system will not care. Once a form is in production fraud will start.

We have removed all blacklisted IP's and emails from our fraud system and has removed fraud monitoring from your form for the time being. If you wish to activate it again please go to the admin page and enable fraud for the checkout page used in the form. The checkout page with the WID used should be edited and fraud enabled once you are done with processing with the same IP.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
