Hi- Does the POS for woocommerce work to use Click & Pledge as the payment processor, if it's being used as the payment processor on the website storefront?
People usually mean different thing by POS. We have clients that refer to the virtual terminal in Salesforce or Connect as their POS since it is the form that the admin uses to process the card on behalf of the "customer". Other clients refer to POS as a hardware that they interact with during their interaction with their donor. Swiper1 is a mobile app that acts and behave as a stand-alone POS and all its items are entered in Swiper1.
Our implementation of the C&P API with WooCommerce provides transaction processing through WooCommerce using your C&P account. At this time there is POS capability that takes its items from WooCommerce. In other words, our Swiper1 item list does not take its items from WooCommerce so if you have items in WooCommerce you cannot choose them in Swiper1.
Swiper1 has its own catalog and you may add your items in Swiper1 and process transactions and purchases just like a POS. Once the transaction has completed you may easily go to WooCommerce and manually enter them using the WooCommerce interface. At that point your interactions with WooCommerce is outside Click & Pledge as it is simply a record keeping activity.
I hope you see the distinction as well as how Swiper1 may help.
I'm talking about the POS that comes with WooCommerce-- it's an app you load on a device, make orders and process a payment on them in person.
Since C&P won't process the payment on orders set up in that WooCommerce POS app, I just need to know if I can use the generic C&P swiper1 to tell C&P's platform that I want to charge X amount to a card, have it process, and tell the user it was paid/declined. Then they will go back to the WooCommerce POS app and mark it paid. I don't need them to talk to each other or pass products to salesforce. I just need to know that I can process a payment w/ a swiper1 and have it talk to your payment processor, so they don't need a whole separate payment processor just for the POS.
Yes, you should be able to do that. Obviously an authorized Swiper1 user would have to enter the payment.
