I did some testing this evening and it doesn't appear that the issue is fully resolved. The exact same checkout loop happens if the product is set to anything but 'Shipped' in the pricing option box. It's very important for a non-profit to be able to sell a non-shipped (virtual) item such as an event ticket on their site. Please get in touch with me when your WordPress plugin is fully operational, and fully tested.

        Good day!

I am not sure why people always think that a software is not fully tested when released. Our team has tested the application quite extensively and we released it once all tests were completed.

Please refer to the following: https://shopplugin.net/kb/the-shippi...is-incomplete/

Based on our research of your case we have seen that the same case occurs when PayPal & other gateways are used.

The problem has to do with not asking for shipping address or shipping same as billing option. When no shipping is asked the issue occurs.

The original checkout page is as shown below:

        Your site is shown below:

Name:	live_site.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	10.6 KB

The same as shipping appears to be missing.

Have you customized the checkout page?

This is so ridiculous. I've been going back and forth with you folks about this for a month now.

A product that is virtual does not require shipping information. Examples of virtual products are event tickets, ebook downloads or other intangible goods or services. On a virtual product the shipping address fields don't even display... Pointing me to a random knowledgebase article on Shopp's website (https://shopplugin.net/kb/the-shippi...is-incomplete/) regarding collecting shipping information doesn't really help.

The fact of the matter is that your payment gateway does not support all of the core features included in the Shopp shopping cart plugin. So yeah, I think that my assumption that you don't fully test the software is quite well supported. I encourage you to go to my test install and try checking out with the following products
          • Test Product - Checkout functions as it should. It still triggers the confirm order screen, contrary to my settings, but the transaction happens.
          • Virtual Product - Items are added to cart, checkout/payment occurs, confirmation screen shows (contrary to my settings), and then redirects to the checkout/payment page.

So there you have it. Two identical seeming products, the only difference is that the "Virtual" item is selected in the Shopp product settings instead of "Shipped". Hey?!? Did I just test your software for you? C'mon really?

I really hope that I'm missing something obvious. As a developer I've crafted nearly 100 custom WordPress themes, around 15 Shopp e-commerce websites, and authored scores of WordPress plugins. I've never had these kinds of difficulties with any other payment gateway, Stripe.com, Authorize.net, Google Checkout or PayPal. The common denominator here is Click & Pledge.

Now, I don't really wish to get into a debate over this. You've hacked the payment gateway together in a manner that somewhat works. It's not elegant, heck it's not even officially supported by Shopp. But it works. Kind of.

Instead of continuing my rant, I'm going to take some time to clean up what you did to my installation. Don't worry, though, I'll remove the plugin you installed to redirect https:// to http:// (really!?). I'll go in and clean up the database table that you added. I'll reactivate all of the plugins that you deactivated and get the custom Shopp theme back up and running.

I'll also stop mentioning @ClickAndPledge on Twitter, since I never receive any response there either. You can get back to me if you want, I'm @manifestphil on Twitter, and I'm quite certain you have my email too. I'd be happy to refer you to several competent WordPress developers who could probably get your WordPress/Shopp payment gateway whipped into shape.

          Good day!

            Thank you for your comment.

We don't monitor Twitter as monitoring a million social links is not practical. We have 2 channels of communications, namely our forum and the help desk.

We will review the features and will add capabilities in the future.

I've turned on PHP error logging and have the following problem:

              2013-02-12 22:35:11 - PHP NOTICE: Undefined property: ClickandPledge::$buttonurl [ClickandPledge.php, line 97] [ClickandPledge.php, line 97]

This undefined property appears to not be allowing the shopping cart to process the transaction correctly. Again, the plugin works fine with other payment gateways such as Authorize.net, Stripe.com etc.

Please get back to me with a fix.
I'm also having this problem. Any ideas? Bought Shopp so that we could integrate, but now having to use Paypal.

Here is the error message I'm getting in test mode now, using new plugin:

One of our developers is reviewing your error and we will get back to you once we can duplicate it. Please give me till tomorrow to find the possible reasons.
