  • OpenCart Integration is incomplete!

I contacted support over three weeks ago to let them know that the CnP OpenCart api was lacking some very fundamental components which every other Gateway APi has (since Opencart requires them). There are a number of issues, but two in particular are preventing me from being able to implement my cart: 1) Being able to specify that CnP gateway is not to be used if the Cart total is 0 and 2) a sort order. These functions should be available to the admin for the Opencart install as they are with every other gateway choice. These appear to be rather simple fixes, and CnP support told me almost three weeks ago that there would be a new CnP update in one week. Needless to say, there has not been one released and the only news I get is that they are testing it. Really? Can we please get this resolved ASAP? I am going to be forced to leave CnP and find another gateway vendor if this cannot be resolved soon.

    Matt,

We have no reason for lying to you and yes it is in testing. Here is the reason for the delay of the release.

Before we can release this we have to make sure our integration with Salesforce works and nothing can go wrong. We are, as of this writing, unable to release our Salesforce Donor Management for testing since a bug in the latest Salesforce release crashes our installation so we can't release our Salesforce app for testing. We have been working with Salesforce support for 2 weeks and are told that the issue is now with the R&D team.

All of our products work together and are tied together. One change in one has a cascading effect and needs to be tested with Salesforce Donor Management, Event, Nonprofit Starter Pack, and now NPSP 3. So testing takes a long time. A simple change needs to be tested across all platforms.

The features you are talking about are added and can't be released until testing releases it to production.

Sorry for the delay but I hope you see the root cause of the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. I understand the integration with Salesforce, but are you saying that the changes in the Opencart functionality has an affect on Salesforce? Are you guys changing more in the Opencart integration than the two items I mentioned? The things that are hindering the Opencart integration appear to be strictly internal to Opencart.

        Matt,

anything we release needs to be tested with all integrated products just to make sure we did not break something else.

One change can have cascading effect. We are told that Salesforce R&D will get back to us in 48 hours.

If you wish to beta test this perhaps we can have it sent to you outside of Github so you can test it.

Any updates ion this? I had responded via email that I would be happy to Beta test the OC integration, but I have not received a response. Do I need to communicate through the Forum rather than the support email?
          Thanks,
          Matt

Great - I've just installed the update and things look good so far. Will be testing over the next few days, but this is a great help - thank you!
