Opencart Campaign name not posting to the SFD Click and Pledge Transaction

    Nina,

    No- the transaction cannot be changed since the transaction is not related to SKU. Items are related to SKU and not the Transaction.

    In the next update the "Opportunity Name" will use the updated campaign. I am referring to the following screen:

    In version 8.1008 and earlier the campaign selected for the name does not reflect the updated campaign in the following section:

    Since the campaign assigned to an item may be changed in this section the campaign name should logically also change to reflect the new campaign.

    Thanks for the update. I already have the C&P settings to choose the campaign name dependent on the SKU and it correctly creates the opportunities with that campaign. If I understand what you are saying, in the next update that campaign name will also be applied to the C&P Transaction.

    Sorry I should have noticed the forum that the message has been posted to.

    There is one way to solve this problem and that is by using SKU and in the Opportunity tab in the C&P Settings (towards the bottom) set the Campaign for the SKU.

    Here is the problem that we will fix in the interim update release next week (January 10). The problem is the Opportunity naming does not use the campaign that is changed in the Setting - meaning the opportunity name is set up before the changes in the C&P Settings are set. We have fixed this and will release the update next week as part of a few other changes and bug fixes.

    I hope you see what I am talking about.

    Sorry I'm a bit confused. I am using Opencart and the Click and Pledge plugin to connect it to Salesforce. Am I missing something missing? Is there other forms as well? Eeach product has a SKU and in salesforce there are C&P setting that set the campaign name based on the SKU. Each opportunity created (1 per item purchased) has the correct campaign name but the C&P single transaction has a blank campaign name. Also note that in my C&P settings I am not using the option that says *Use Products for each item in an Opportunity. If that is the problem and if I select this option how will it affect my current workflow and reports and will it effect donations that come in through my C&P event and my CiviCRM Wordpress donation process? Currently I use campaigns, record types and opportunity names to report on and for my workflows. Can you tell me the advantage of using Products as my opportunity type?

    What form are you using for the payments? The answer as to where the campaign is coming from depends on the form you are using.

    I am using the C&P settings in SFD filtering on the SKU to set my campaign name on my opportunity records. The opportunity record gets created with the correct campaign name but my C&P transaction has a empty Campaign name. Where does the C&P transaction record get the campaign name? I would think if the C&P opportunity settings set the opportunity correctly then it would set the C&P transaction to be the same?

    *Note - My C&P settings in SFD are not set for the opportunity record type to be Merchandise. I am using the record type to determine what is merchandise and what is a donation. (The record types I mainly use are Merchandise, Registration, Donation) And I use workflows to set my opportunity owner and record types as well as other opportunity fields.

    What would change if I switched my C&P opportunity type to Merchandise. Would it affect my current workflow and reporting?

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
