    Nina,

The beauty of an open source solution is exactly finding answers to questions or the ability to customize core files.

    Does this post help? http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?t=7026

I just searched for "open cart data format display" in Google and the above post was #1 post.

Let me know if we can be of any further help.

    Hello,

Do you know if it is possible to reformat the date in Opencart? It shows DD/MM/YYYY. Unfortunately that is not the way most everything is formatted so things get misread. MM/DD/YYYY would be better. I wasn't sure if my click and pledge integration has a setting for that.

    Worth the ask..

    Thanks.

    Good day Nina,

If you use Products then Opportunities will NOT be created. Only 1 opportunity will be created which will be for the total of transaction. Each item in the basket will become a product.

If you are using the opportunity then I suggest you stay with what you have & not change to Opportunity > Product.

Again this has to do with what you are trying to do. Product ID's (SKU) are unique with a product and not an opportunity.

Thanks! That was it. Will this change effect my Opportunity workflows that I created filtering with SKU field within my Click and Pledge Event Registrations?

    Appreciate your help.

    Good day Nina,

Are you using Opportunity > Product or are you using Opportunity alone? Please see below and let me know what option you have set in that screen:

Name:	Opportunity_Product.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	71.4 KB
ID:	15215

    Is this option checked?

Pardon me if this is the wrong place to post my question from an earlier OpenCart to Salesforce integration question. Earlier instructions said that the product ID in opencart is the SKU in salesforce and that the Opencard ID's start with OC. The suggestion to be able to update salesforce fields was that SKU starts with OC and I can filter what action to take.

Under C&P settings in salesforce and custom field mapping's I added a question mapping where if the SKU starts with OC then update field. It doesn't update the record. Also I don't see anything that shows the product SKU showing anything let alone start with OC.

How can i make sure c&P uses the OC product ID? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Good day Nina,

    Replies to your questions:

    1) Is the product ID's in Opencart the same as the SKU? If not how would I set the SKU Start with "OC"?

REPLY: Yes - Product Id's are the same as SKU. We pass those as SKU to Salesforce

    2) The donation category is a custom field that I created on the Opportunity Object. I have a picklist of all the ways we receive money into the system.

REPLY: You may map the answers using the C&P Settings > Custom Question Mapping

    3) The campaign ID I have is 15 Characters long. C&P settings won't take it. I have a Campaign and a Parent Campaign. Is the Primary Campaign different? If so, where would I set that?

REPLY: We don't match campaign ID's currently. We match the name of the campaign with the exact name of the campaign in Salesforce.

    4) Your last instructions... Change opportunity name, opportunity record type and opportunity campaign... Are you referring to do that through the workflows once I get the sku figured out?

REPLY: No- you can do those using C&P Settings > Opportunity

Hope the above answers your questions.

    Hi Nina,

Glad to see that OpenCart is working. Please let us know if you run into any other issues.

I am assuming that all the following questions are related to your based question with OpenCart and transactions are being posted from OpenCart.

One major way that you can make sure Salesforce tracks everything correctly is using SKU (Product ID's). With SKU's a lot of customization may be done in Salesforce in real-time.

    Replies to your questions:

    1) What is the best way to have the transaction associated with a Salesforce Campaign?
Using the following setting you may set up campaigns for each individual item in the basket.
C&P Settings > Opportunity > Primary Campaign Source

    2) What is the best way to update a custom donation category field in Salesforce when a transactions come in?

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "donation category". Please elaborate!

    3) What is the defining factor that set's this record apart (C&P Record and the Donation Record) so that I can possible use workflows to set our donation category and the Campaign?

Record Types may be set dynamically using SKU's through the following settings:
    C&P Settings > Opportunity > Record Type

    4) The transaction comes in with a donation category set to "Check" when it is a credit card.

As in #2 I don't quite understand what you mean by category. Please elaborate!

Note: I don't see anywhere in the OpenCart settings or in the salesforce transaction itself that defines where the transaction came from. (C&P Recored and/or the Donation Record) I can pretty much tell because the donation name is the name of one of the items that were purchased in OpenCart but then I would have to know what everyone one of those are.

As stated earlier I suggest you work with SKU's and dynamically change the behavior of Opportunities based on the SKU. For example:

All Product Id's in OpenCart start with "OC-xxx-xxx-xxx"

You can easily set SKU filters as follows:

    SKU Starts With "OC"
    • Change opportunity name
    • Change opportunity record type
    • Change opportunity campaign
    • etc.
I hope the above helps you get started. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

All worked! Thanks. With the transaction that comes through salesforce, I have a couple questions.

We reviewed your instance over the weekend & the following summarizes our findings:
    1. No default payment methods (Credit Card, eCheck, etc.) are set. We fixed this and now it should work.
    2. Your instance has changed the default theme to a different theme. The Click & Pledge payment processor views should be copied to the new theme's views. The FTP user sent to us does NOT have permission to COPY files to that folder so we could not fix it for you.

I hope the above makes sense and helps you with resolving the issue. If you need for us to fix your template issues please extend the user permission to the user sent so we can resolve the remaining issues.
