Hi there,
I created a ticket and went to the help session today, but Amanda asked me to post here. Our donation page is down and this is the email that I received from our website tech. Can you help please? We're down for end-of-year giving, which is huge for nonprofits...
Thanks,
Danielle
From Jon:
I’ve been troubleshooting an error on the donations page of the site, and ultimately I’ve temporarily removed that form. We’re running the latest versions of Gravity Forms and the Gravity Forms Click and Pledge plugin, but we did recently upgrade the version of php on the site (from 5.6 to 7.1). This has the potential to cause problems, and of the 200-odd sites that we host, 5 have had issues. Our sites average 30-40 plugins on each site, and in each case, we’ve narrowed the issue happening to one specific plugin. So we’re seeing that about one of every 1,600 plugins that we have installed is having an issue with the new version of php (including, BTW, one plugin that I wrote on another site).
I believe we’re seeing a compatibility issue between the Gravity Forms Click & Pledge add-on and php 7.1.
The donations form is currently located here:
I’d recommend that you give access to Click and Pledge and let them troubleshoot this error.
As you can see, the page doesn’t fully load. If I disable the Gravity Forms Click & Pledge add-on, making no other changes to the site, the page loads fully. One other note: there is a javascript error I’m seeing on this page from our FAQ plugin; however, disabling that plugin resolves that error without affecting whether the form loads correctly in any way.
I think that Click and Pledge will be able to replicate this issue on a clean install with Gravity forms and their add-on installed, if that site is running php 7.1 and using similar settings for the form that we’re using on our site.
I don’t see any specific error messages related to this on the site, nor in the php error log. Wish I could be more helpful!
