  • Broken Form

    Hello,

    I am working on a project to overhaul our donation forms for wordpress sites and I found Gravity Forms and an addon for Click and Pledge that seems like a good fit.

    I had this all setup and running - with successful test transactions.

    I've been trying to add recurring payment options but it's not working - I think I saw some recent update notes about this and think I may have been affected.

    What I want is two options: one time, or monthly (indefinite installments). I think I set this up correctly, but when I submit any test transactions using the test card 4111-1111-1111-1111 they aren't showing up in the Click and pledge transactions. I've tried different options for subscription/installment but can't get it to work.

    I'm taken to the confirmation page after hitting submit, but all the transaction details that normally pass to this page are blank.

    Can you help me get this up and running? Can provide WP login if you want to mess with it.

    Good day @elandolf

    Yes, we need login details of your instance. Please submit a support ticket at http://help.clickandpledge.com with FTP and admin login details as well as the website URL so we can review your entire configuration. Include the link to this post in the ticket for reference.

    Please let us know when you have submitted the ticket. Do not post the requested information in this forum as this is a public forum.

      Good day @elandolf

      Thank you for sharing the info. We reviewed and found that you have missed one of the step which is the reason the transaction didn't get processed. Of course that is the reason you don't see it in Connect.

      You will need to add the form to Click & Pledge Forms in order to process with Click & Pledge payment processor:
      • Click on ‘Forms->Click & Pledge’ to display all available forms
      • Select the ‘Gravity Form’ to process then click on ‘Save’ button

      Click image for larger version

Name:	CnP Forms.jpg
Views:	69
Size:	40.5 KB
ID:	33148

      We have assigned that form to Click & Pledge and now it is working fine.

      Please test it and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

        Thanks! I have some additional questions:

        1. Autofill (chrome) seems to be broken - it is inserting my city in the first name field and not filling out city, state, zip. It's a pretty bad user experience can this be fixed?

        Temporary solution:
        Code:
        <script type="text/javascript">
        jQuery(document).ready(function(){
        jQuery("[aria-label='First name']").attr('autocomplete', "given-name");
        });
        </script>
        2. Can you change State be a picklist? This would be an awesome change because I'd like to use the conditional logic option based on what state people select.

        3. I'm not receiving receipt emails due to them being quarantined, can you send me the email server ip's I need to to whitelist?

        Nevermind found them:

          Good day @elandolf

          1. We usually recommend NOT to use Autofill because it always gives a problem for the payment pages.

          2. The Address field is NOT related to Click & Pledge, that is related to Gravity Forms. You may need to contact Gravity Form Support . However, we found some help documents which may help you:

          Gravity Forms is a complete contact form solution for WordPress. With Gravity Forms you can build complex, interactive contact forms in minutes with no programming experience.

            Hey thanks for responding, got these issues taken care of.

            1. That's just silly, are you sure we're talking about the same thing? This is a pretty common browser feature, I can't imagine instructing visitors on the donate page not to use it. It seems to work completely fine for me with the temporary fix I came up with.

            2. Fixed this by switching type from "International" to "United States".

            ----

            There is one more problem on the confirmation page though, maybe this is gravity forms too:

            The Payment Amount is coming back as double the actual submitted amount. For example if I make a $5.00 donation the transaction object comes in as $5.00 but the confirmation page says the payment amount was $10.00. This bug does not seem to affect the "Other" amount field though, just the amount radios.

              Good day @elandolf

              We have identified the issue. It is the compatibility issue with Gravity Form latest release & our plugin. We will fix and release the patch soon.

              Sorry for the inconvenience.
