Ability to post transaction IDs on Gravity Forms confirmation page

Hi,

I'm trying to post the transaction ID of a donation on the confirmation page of a donation form so that donors have the ability to save this confirmation page as a receipt. While there is a merge field via the CnP Gravity Forms plug-in called Transaction ID (which I can put on the form confirmation page), this looks to match up the Vault GUID field in Salesforce (on the C&P Transaction object). Given this ID is used to reprocess a transaction (http://manual.clickandpledge.com/Sal...-Terminal.html), it doesn't seem the most appropriate to share with the donor. Is there a way to display the Order Number field (also on the C&P Transaction object) on the confirmation page to the donation form?

We discussed with our developer and they concluded that the order number can't be included in the confirmation page by Click & Pledge plugin. You may need to contact Gravity Forms support to see if they can include the order number in the confirmation page.

Thank you for the update. Correct me if I'm wrong. but wouldn't you all need to provide the response value for the transaction ID (since this is not generated until the donation is posted)? Gravity Forms does not have access that transaction ID value. What would Gravity Forms support assist with?

We don't recommend to include the Transaction ID in the confirmation page since it is for internal use only. You may include the Order number but that cannot be done through the C&P plugin. You need to work with your developer or Gravity Form support to include the Order number into the confirmation page.

Hi,

I want to make sure I understand this right:

1. The merge field that is available via the CnP Gravity Forms plug-in {transaction_id} is something you do not recommend to include on the confirmation page because it's for internal use only
   1. This looks to be the same values as the Gateway Transaction Number that's stored on the CnP Transaction record in Salesforce
2. The Order Number field on the CnP Transaction record in Salesforce is NOT available to display on the confirmation page to the donation form via merge field

Is there a reason why you expose one transaction ID as a merge field value when you don't recommend using it, but do not expose the other transaction ID value? Our client would like to have the ability to include some type of unique ID on the donation confirmation page that can be referenced to the the data stored in Salesforce. This seems like a fairly reasonable request, I'd be surprised if other organizations wouldn't want to do the same thing.

My apologize, I meant to say GUID not recommend to include but you may use the Transaction ID. I have forwarded this to our team to see if they can include Order number as merge field in upcoming releases.
