  • Error Processing Donation After Setting Up According to Manual

    I've set up my donation page according to the Manual and plugin instructions, but I am still receiving an error message when trying to process a donation. I'll appreciate your help identifying where the bug is and how I can correct it: https:/beaconofhope.org/donate

      This is the message I'm getting:

      "Error processing card transaction:
      Declined (general)"

        Good day!

        "Declined (general)" is the message from the gateway. The card is being declined.

        We reviewed your records and based on what you have posted we see that you are in TEST mode but are using a "real" credit card. Real cards will decline in TEST mode.

        Are you test mode?

          Thank you very much for the quick follow-up! That is a very minor but important detail and you were absolutely right. We went into Production mode and are successfully processing.

          Question: what is the best way to manage, on the form, how the Donation Name displays in Saleforce?

            Good day!

            You may easily customize the "Opportunity Name" as defined in the C&P Settings:

            The opportunity naming convention may be set for each type of SKU. If you don't wish to use customization based on type of payment (SKU) then simply use "Any or Blank SKU" which covers all transactions and items.
