Trouble setting up a simple donation form

We should be able to fix the total. The hack is quite complex with how GF works. We will resolve this and post an update here.

I think what we need to do is the set the price to $0 and if the Value of the OTHER field is set as a fieldname then don't pass it - simply taking the logic to mean instead of this item pass the referenced item. That could solve the problem.

Good day! Yes-- this is a major hack in GravityForm and we just need more time to test and resolve the subtle problems. We are working on it and will have an update early next week. We need to test all conditions.

Okay, I did some further testing and was able to get it to work using $0 for OTHER, then passing that to the user-submitted input (conditional logic). I was able to see donations from pre-populated and user-entered.

Now, the only problem left is that I can't get the form to pass along a SKU value. I followed the instructions and it will not populate. Not sure where to go from here.

The only way to assign SKU's is by assigning a hidden field as described in the manual for each option. Every option needs to have a hidden field assigned to it with its field value. Please see: http://manual.clickandpledge.com/Gravity-Forms.html

SKU is not an attribute in GravityForm and as such we have written a logic that looks for the field ID in hidden fields and if found it will treat the value as the SKU. If you cannot get it to work please grant us login access so go in and fix it for you. Hopefully seeing how it is done will help in the future.

Re: check box update, do the individual check box labels need to include the checkbox field label? That's how the instructions seem to read. If so, that's not really ideal...

Hi again,

I'd like to revisit this thread because it seems as though the issues have not been resolved. Donations are still entering Salesforce as two separate opportunities. More troubling, the SKU for the 'Other" opportunity does not transfer over at all (even though it's configured correctly in Wordpress).

We really need to get this straightened out as our annual appeal is fast approaching. Please advise.

Please change the Value for the Other field to: "{SKIPIF0}"

Skip if zero will skip the posting of this field if the value is zero.

Let us know if this solves your issue.

The image you provided is too small. The forum platform reduces PNG files to a size that is not easy to see. Please always post images as JPG.
