  • Difficult installing extension for CiviCRM under WordPress

    Hello,

I'm attempting to install the extension for CiviCRM (4.3.5) under WordPress (3.6), following the instructions available at https://manual.clickandpledge.com/Ci...WordPress.html. I have hit a snag, and I hope you can help me figure out what I'm missing:

    • I manually set up an extensions folder in the following location: <WordPress path>/wp-content/plugins/files/civicrm/extensions/
    • I configured my 'CiviCRM Extensions Directory' to point to /<home path>/public_html/wp-content/plugins/files/civicrm/extensions/
    • I configured my 'CiviCRM Resource URL' to point to http://<oursite>/public_html/wp-content/plugins/files/civicrm/extensions/
    • My 'extensions' directory permissions are set to 755
    • I downloaded the Click & Pledge integration module from GitHub, located here: https://github.com/ClickandPledge/wordpress-civicrm
    • I attempted to download the extension (Payment Processor) from https://github.com/ClickandPledge/WordPress/tree/CiviCRM, but encountered a '404 - not found' page with nifty Star Wars graphics. (I think this may be the source of my problem)
    • Looking inside the integration module, I noticed it contained a copy of com.clickandpledge.payment.clickandpledge, so I zipped that, uploaded it to my 'extensions' directory, and unzipped it.
    • When I look at the CiviCRM extension manager, nothing shows up in the list, nor does Click & Pledge show up as one of my available Payment Processors.

I'm a little lost here. About my only best guess is that the copy of com.clickandpledge.payment.clickandpledge that I pulled from the integration module was not complete, or wasn't packaged right or something. I also thought maybe there was an issue with the latest releases of either WordPress or CiviCRM.

Please help! Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Chris

    Good day Chris:

Please visit http://help.clickandpledge.com and submit a support ticket with your FTP access to the core files. One of our developers will login and review your instance and fix any issues you may have.

It is a bit hard to debug installation issues with Open Source applications without having access directly.

Please post a message to this thread notifying us of the information so we can proceed. Give us 24 hours for review.
