Salesforce Winter '21 update is removing the permission sets for the SITE GUEST USER. The SITE GUEST USER is the user that visitors to a site, e.g. EVENT, are interacting through and as such requires a set of permissions granting the user access to various objects to read, write, and update.
We have received a lot of reports from users whose events are disabled due to this Salesforce update. The solution is simply to login and add the removed PERMISSION SETS. As always, we love to help you and fix this for you so you may easily grant us login access and let us know your Salesforce ID so we can fix this. - Ensure that you are on the latest release, otherwise the following Permission Sets will not be available - See release notes
- Go to Setup
- Click on Develop > Sites > Site Label (used for C&P Event)
- Click on Public Access Settings > View Users
- Click on "Site Guest User, Default (Site Label)"
- Click on "Edit Assignments"
