Description



Recently Salesforce has issued Security Alerts in order to tighten security relating to their Sites feature. Click & Pledge Salesforce Apps utilize the Sites feature to provide nonprofit users an affordable option to host their Email Template images and Event pages.
These security changes affect all Click & Pledge Salesforce App users





You may see Salesforce’s notification of this change as an orange bar at the top of your Salesforce screen, and if you click on the ‘Review Security Alert’ link, you will see the following security alerts that will change the behavior of your Click & Pledge apps.

Once these security settings have been implemented, you will experience problems with the Events app and your Designer templates. To resolve those issues, Click & Pledge Apps, you have 2 options:

Option 1: Let us help and do it for you.Option 2: OR do it yourself:
  • Navigate to:
Setup > Sites > Site Detail (CnP Site) > Public Access Settings > CnP Events Profile: View Users > Users: Site Guest User > Site Guest User Detail: Permissions Set Assignments: Edit Assignments








Add the PS-CnP-PaaS-Event-SetUp permission set to the Site Guest User as shown below, or as explained in this February 2020 Permission Update Video. (video portrays with Enhanced Page Layout Editor enabled)

You may also need to add these additional Object permissions to the Site’s Profile
(Available under ‘Edit’ on Step 6 above, also covered in the video)
