    Test period: August 30 - September 1, 2014

    Prior to September 1, 2014, clients wanting to process the American Express (AmEx) card had to set up an account with the American Express directly. AmEx fees were being charged by AmEx directly and an additional surcharge was being charged by Click & Pledge for processing the card.

    Starting September 1, AmEx cards are being processed directly by Transfirst (US Only) at the same rate as Visa and MasterCard. All clients may use AmEx directly with their account without any additional applications, setup or fee.

    To set up AmEx for all accounts a series of activation test transactions were performed on all accounts during August 30 - September 1 with the following information:
    • Card #: 3739-xxx-xxx-x1003
    • Expiration date: 12/14
    • Total charged: >1
    • Authorization response: Declined [no deposits will be made for this test transaction]

    No charges were made to any account and no fees are being charged for this transaction. The charge is a requirement by AmEx for activation and requires no additional action by our clients.

    To disable AmEx for checkout pages please login to the portal & follow the steps listed below:
    1. Click on Account Info
    2. Click on Accepted Cards
    3. Uncheck the accept checkbox for the American Express card
    4. Click on Submit to save
