Due to recent changes in the mobile carrier regulations we have decided to discontinue offering the SMS giving as a feature of the mobile platform.
We have always known that the limitations imposed on SMS giving by the carriers were a barrier to its usage. The problem was delayed payments, lack of information on the donor, and the high cost of usage. Our solution which required a prior transaction and then replication of the prior order for new payment requests via SMS was a good alternate solution but required a lot of interactions by the end user. The number of steps required to accomplish a task was a major hindrance for its usage. The adoption for this service, among our users, was quite low and as such continuing its support in light of the new regulations became a challenge.
